Tagging in Facebook occurs when you include a buddy's name as a link in among your posts. 1. Open the Facebook app. It's a blue app icon with a white.

2. Tag somebody in an image. To do so:

  • Tap an image in among your image albums, on your Timeline, or on another's Timeline.

  • Tap the icon shaped like a shopping tag at the top of the screen.

  • Tap Tag People. It's next to a blue silhouette near the bottom of the screen. If you do not see this choice, tap Include to your post below the message prompt to open the menu of options.

  • Tap Who are you with? at the top of the screen.

  • Additionally, tap somebody who appears in the "TIP" list on the screen.

  • Start typing the name of a person.

  • Tap the name of the individual you desire to tag when it appears on the screen. Type other people's names and tap them if you want to tag more than a single person.

  • Tap Performed in the upper-right when you're completed. On Android, the button may be identified Next.

  • Write a remark and tap Post in the upper-right corner. Your post will appear on your -Timeline, and the other user will receive an alert that you tagged them in a post.


4. Tag somebody by typing their name. To do so:

  • Start a post or a talk about another post, picture, or video.

  • Start typing a someone's name anywhere in the post or remark. Facebook will make ideas as you type.

  • Additionally, type @ prior to typing a name. This lets Facebook know that you want to tag someone in your post or remark.

  • Tap the name of the user you wish to tag when it appears.

  • Tap Post in the upper-right. Your post or comment will be published, and the other user will receive a notification that you tagged them in a post.


On Desktop


1. Go to http://www.facebook.com in a Web internet browser.

  • Log in, if you're not signed in automatically.

  • You may not have the ability to tag some individuals or organisations due to their privacy settings.


2. Tag somebody in an image. To do so:

  • Click an image in one of your image albums, on your Timeline, or on a buddy's Timeline.

  • Click Tag Picture at the bottom of the image.

  • Click a face or anywhere else on the image. If people appear in the image, Facebook will highlight a Face. If its algorithms acknowledge a person, Facebook will recommend a person to tag.

  • Start typing a name.

  • Click the name of the individual you desire to tag when it appears in the dialog box. Doing so tags them in the photo.

  • Click throughout the black background when you're ended up. The other user will receive a notification that you tagged them in a picture.


3. Tag someone in a post. To do so:

  • Start a brand-new post by clicking the status update timely at the top of your Newsfeed or Timeline. It will read "Exactly what's on your mind ...?", "Would you like to share an update ...?", or something comparable.

  • Click Tag Friends. It's next to a blue shape near the bottom of the dialog box.

  • Compose a remark and click Post in the lower-right corner. Your post will appear on your Timeline, and the other user will get a notification that you tagged them in a post.


4. Tag someone by typing their name. To do so:

  • Start a post or a comment on another post, image, or video.

  • Start typing someone's name anywhere in the post or remark. Facebook will make tips as you type.

  • Additionally, type @ before typing a user's name. This lets Facebook know that you wish to tag someone in your post or comment.

  • Click the name of the user you desire to tag when it appears.

  • Click Post in the lower-right corner of the dialog box. Your post or remark will be posted, and the other user will get an alert that you tagged them in a post.
