Edit
Is My Facebook Account Deactivated, I returned house from a charming afternoon stroll with Ryland to find my Mac asking me to visit to Facebook. Funny I thought, as I never usually log out. I tried to visit just to be greeted by 'Account Disabled'.
Is My Facebook Account Deactivated
I clicked through to see why:
Phony accounts are an infraction of our Statement of Rights and Obligations. All accounts must follow the following policies:
- You should offer your genuine first name and last name. Impersonating anyone or anything is restricted.
- You are not enabled to produce multiple accounts that exist solely for the usage of Facebook Platform applications.
- It is a violation of Facebook policy to maintain more than one account on the website.
- Profiles (timelines) produced to represent celebs, animals, concepts, or inanimate items are strictly forbidden.
- Profiles (timelines) produced for the purpose of spamming or harassing others are strictly prohibited.
Individuals on Facebook want to connect with their genuine buddies and individuals they know in the real life. Considering that phony accounts can harm the integrity of this environment, they are not allowed to stay on the website.
It appears that finally Facebook are actially beginning to implement their policy about several accounts and phony profile names. The issue is-- my name Di Coke is real, and I only have one Facebook account! And it's not the abbreviation that's the issue, as their policy states: Labels can be used as a very first or middle name if they're a variation of your real first or last name (like Bob instead of Robert).
So exactly what happened? Well, I think it is among 2 things-- either someone has reported my account as being phony, or Facebook are having a clampdown on the usage of trademark name. Either way, I deserved a warning first, before they disabled my account and removed my SuperLucky fan page. In addition to that, I can't access the 4 pages I'm an Administrator on-- and no one is able to call me via Facebook. As a Blog Writer and Social Media Manager, this is a major blow. It's been three hours given that they disabled my account and I hope this is sorted ASAP. Till then, if you have to, you can contact me by means of Twitter or email.
And to those of you reading this who have two Facebook accounts or utilize comping labels-- take this as a warning! If your account gets disabled you'll require to upload ID revealing your real name to reactivate it, and I don't think many of you have passports with the name 'Lucky MSE Turnips' on do you?!
