Last year, Facebook launched a new version of Facebook Groups, which formerly functioned like Facebook Fan pages. Now, Facebook users can develop and sign up with Facebook Groups, which still look somewhat like Fan pages, but have more personal privacy options, and allow users in groups to communicate with each other better, "How To Remove Group From Facebook". 5. Click the x. Facebook will trigger you, "Are you sure you wish to remove your membership from ___ group?"
6. Click "Get rid of." (Or click "Cancel" if you have second thoughts and truly don't desire to eliminate yourself from the group.).
Once you eliminate yourself from a group, that group and posts by its members will not show up on your individual profile page.
How to Shut Down a Group You Developed.
If you are the administrator of a group and you desire to delete the entire group, you first need to eliminate all the members by going through the "click the x" process above.
If other individuals also administer your group, remove them also.
Eliminate yourself (the group admin) LAST. The reason you should eliminate yourself last is that if you eliminate yourself and other people are still members of the group, Facebook will ask them if they desire to administer the group.
But considering that you're erasing your group entirely, you'll want to remove everyone, then yourself.
When the last individual (you) has been gotten rid of from the group, the group will vanish forever into Facebook heaven.
