Edit
How Do You Deactivate Your Facebook Account, I returned house from a charming afternoon walk with Ryland to find my Mac asking me to log in to Facebook. Funny I thought, as I never ever generally log out. I tried to log in only to be welcomed by 'Account Disabled'.
How Do You Deactivate Your Facebook Account
I clicked through to see why:
Phony accounts are a violation of our Declaration of Rights and Duties. All accounts should follow the following policies:
- You need to offer your genuine given name and surname. Impersonating anybody or anything is prohibited.
- You are not permitted to create multiple accounts that exist entirely for the usage of Facebook Platform applications.
- It is a violation of Facebook policy to maintain more than one account on the site.
- Profiles (timelines) produced to represent celebrities, pets, ideas, or inanimate objects are strictly forbidden.
- Profiles (timelines) developed for the function of spamming or pestering others are strictly restricted.
People on Facebook want to communicate with their real good friends and the individuals they know in the real world. Considering that fake accounts can harm the integrity of this environment, they are not permitted to remain on the site.
It seems that finally Facebook are actially starting to enforce their policy about numerous accounts and phony profile names. The issue is-- my name Di Coke is real, and I only have one Facebook account! And it's not the abbreviation that's the concern, as their policy states: Labels can be utilized as a very first or middle name if they're a variation of your real first or last name (like Bob rather of Robert).
So what taken place? Well, I think it's one of 2 things-- either somebody has actually reported my account as being fake, or Facebook are having a clampdown on using brand names. Either method, I was worthy of a caution first, before they disabled my account and took down my SuperLucky fan page. In addition to that, I can't access the four pages I'm an Administrator on-- and nobody has the ability to call me through Facebook. As a Blog Writer and Social Network Supervisor, this is a major blow. It's been three hours considering that they disabled my account and I hope this is sorted ASAP. Until then, if you have to, you can contact me by means of Twitter or e-mail.
And to those of you reading this who have 2 Facebook accounts or utilize comping labels-- take this as a caution! If your account gets disabled you'll require to upload ID revealing your real name to reactivate it, and I do not think a lot of you have passports with the name 'Lucky MSE Turnips' on do you?!
