How Can I Deactivate My Facebook Account, I returned house from a lovely afternoon stroll with Ryland to find my Mac asking me to visit to Facebook. Amusing I thought, as I never normally log out. I aimed to visit only to be greeted by 'Account Handicapped'.
How Can I Deactivate My Facebook Account
I clicked through to see why:
Phony accounts are an infraction of our Statement of Rights and Duties. All accounts should comply with the following policies:
- You must offer your genuine very first name and surname. Impersonating anyone or anything is prohibited.
- You are not allowed to develop numerous accounts that exist exclusively for the usage of Facebook Platform applications.
- It is an offense of Facebook policy to keep more than one account on the site.
- Profiles (timelines) produced to represent stars, family pets, concepts, or inanimate items are strictly forbidden.
- Profiles (timelines) created for the purpose of spamming or bugging others are strictly prohibited.
Individuals on Facebook want to interact with their genuine friends and the individuals they know in the real world. Because fake accounts can damage the integrity of this environment, they are not enabled to remain on the website.
It seems that lastly Facebook are actially beginning to enforce their policy about numerous accounts and phony profile names. The issue is-- my name Di Coke is real, and I only have one Facebook account! And it's not the abbreviation that's the problem, as their policy states: Nicknames can be used as a very first or middle name if they're a variation of your real very first or surname (like Bob instead of Robert).
So exactly what taken place? Well, I believe it is among 2 things-- either someone has actually reported my account as being fake, or Facebook are having a clampdown on using trademark name. Either method, I deserved a caution initially, before they disabled my account and removed my SuperLucky fan page. In addition to that, I can't access the four pages I'm an Administrator on-- and no one is able to contact me through Facebook. As a Blogger and Social Network Supervisor, this is a significant blow. It's been three hours since they disabled my account and I hope this is sorted ASAP. Until then, if you need to, you can contact me through Twitter or email.
And to those of you reading this who have 2 Facebook accounts or utilize comping labels-- take this as a warning! If your account gets disabled you'll need to upload ID revealing your real name to reactivate it, and I do not believe much of you have passports with the name 'Lucky MSE Turnips' on do you?!
