Facebook Search By Phone Number - Have you attempted browsing for Facebook profiles by contact number? Go into one that you know remains in a profile or posted to a Wall-- even a profile set to private-- and let me know what you find.
I have my telephone number in my About section and the Facebook online search engine returns just my profile, so you understand that's the right one.
However here's a search I did by telephone number for somebody I'm not linked to and who does not have their phone number in their public profile. (Sorry for the blurring-- to protect the innocent victim of my research study.).
1. When once again go to your account, click the [Accounts] tab and select Personal privacy Settings link.
2. On the Privacy Settings page, scroll down and click on Customize settings link (see pic. above).
3. On the Customize settings page scroll to discover Contact information area and it will show you all the contact information and whom you enable to see it.
4. Click on any one of the contact info. like mobile number and choose the type of individuals who can see/access it. If you desire to hide your contact number on facebook totally from everyone choose Customize. (see above).
5. In the next window under Make this noticeable to you can pick the alternative Just Me or the others.
