Deactivating Facebook Account

Deactivating Facebook Account, I returned home from a lovely afternoon walk with Ryland to discover my Mac asking me to log in to Facebook. Amusing I thought, as I never normally log out. I attempted to visit only to be greeted by 'Account Disabled'.

Deactivating Facebook Account

I clicked through to see why:

Phony accounts are an offense of our Statement of Rights and Responsibilities. All accounts must follow the following policies:

  • You must supply your genuine very first name and last name. Impersonating anybody or anything is prohibited.

  • You are not allowed to create multiple accounts that exist solely for the use of Facebook Platform applications.

  • It is an infraction of Facebook policy to preserve more than one account on the website.

  • Profiles (timelines) produced to represent celebrities, animals, ideas, or inanimate objects are strictly restricted.

  • Profiles (timelines) created for the function of spamming or harassing others are strictly forbidden.

People on Facebook desire to connect with their genuine good friends and the individuals they understand in the real world. Since fake accounts can damage the integrity of this environment, they are not allowed to remain on the site.

It appears that lastly Facebook are actially beginning to impose their policy about several accounts and fake profile names. The issue is-- my name Di Coke is genuine, and I just have one Facebook account! And it's not the abbreviation that's the problem, as their policy states: Nicknames can be utilized as a first or middle name if they're a variation of your genuine first or last name (like Bob instead of Robert).

So exactly what taken place? Well, I believe it is among 2 things-- either someone has reported my account as being fake, or Facebook are having a clampdown on the use of brand. Either method, I should have a warning initially, prior to they disabled my account and removed my SuperLucky fan page. In addition to that, I can't access the 4 pages I'm an Administrator on-- and nobody is able to contact me by means of Facebook. As a Blog Writer and Social Media Manager, this is a major blow. It's been three hours since they disabled my account and I hope this is arranged ASAP. Till then, if you have to, you can call me via Twitter or email.

And to those of you reading this who have two Facebook accounts or use comping labels-- take this as a caution! If your account gets disabled you'll have to submit ID revealing your real name to reactivate it, and I don't think numerous of you have passports with the name 'Lucky MSE Turnips' on do you?!
