When A Facebook Account is Deactivated

When A Facebook Account Is Deactivated, I returned home from a lovely afternoon stroll with Ryland to discover my Mac asking me to log in to Facebook. Amusing I thought, as I never typically log out. I attempted to visit only to be greeted by 'Account Disabled'.

When A Facebook Account Is Deactivated

I clicked through to see why:

Fake accounts are an infraction of our Declaration of Rights and Responsibilities. All accounts should comply with the following policies:

  • You should supply your real given name and last name. Impersonating anybody or anything is forbidden.

  • You are not permitted to create several accounts that exist solely for the use of Facebook Platform applications.

  • It is an offense of Facebook policy to maintain more than one account on the site.

  • Profiles (timelines) created to represent celebrities, family pets, ideas, or inanimate things are strictly restricted.

  • Profiles (timelines) produced for the function of spamming or bothering others are strictly prohibited.

Individuals on Facebook wish to connect with their real good friends and the people they understand in the genuine world. Since fake accounts can damage the stability of this environment, they are not permitted to stay on the website.

It seems that finally Facebook are actially beginning to impose their policy about numerous accounts and fake profile names. The issue is-- my name Di Coke is genuine, and I just have one Facebook account! And it's not the abbreviation that's the problem, as their policy states: Nicknames can be utilized as a first or middle name if they're a variation of your genuine first or surname (like Bob instead of Robert).

So what occurred? Well, I believe it's one of two things-- either somebody has reported my account as being phony, or Facebook are having a clampdown on using brand. In either case, I was worthy of a caution first, prior to they disabled my account and took down my SuperLucky fan page. In addition to that, I can't access the four pages I'm an Administrator on-- and no one has the ability to contact me by means of Facebook. As a Blogger and Social Network Manager, this is a major blow. It's been three hours because they disabled my account and I hope this is sorted ASAP. Till then, if you require to, you can contact me by means of Twitter or e-mail.

And to those of you reading this who have two Facebook accounts or utilize comping nicknames-- take this as a caution! If your account gets handicapped you'll have to upload ID showing your genuine name to reactivate it, and I do not believe a lot of you have passports with the name 'Fortunate MSE Turnips' on do you?!
