  • For example: if you enter "John Smith" as the name and picked Detroit as the city, Facebook would raise a list of all users named John Smith who have Detroit set as their location.


On Desktop


1. Open Facebook. Go to https://www.facebook.com/. This will open your Facebook News Feed if you're logged in.

  • If you aren't visited, enter your e-mail address (or telephone number) and password in the top-right side of the page.


2. Click the search bar. This field is at the top of the Facebook page.

3. Enter an individual's name. Key in the name of the individual you want to discover, then press ↵ Go into. Doing so raises a list of people in your area with a matching (or comparable) name.
