  • Start typing the name of an individual.

  • Tap the name of the person you want to tag when it appears on the screen. Type other individuals's names and tap them if you wish to tag more than someone.

  • Tap Carried out in the upper-right when you're completed. On Android, the button may be labeled Next.

  • Compose a comment and tap Post in the upper-right corner. Your post will appear on your -Timeline, and the other user will receive a notice that you tagged them in a post.


4. Tag somebody by typing their name. To do so:

  • Begin a post or a comment on another post, picture, or video.

  • Start typing a somebody's name anywhere in the post or remark. Facebook will make recommendations as you type.

  • Additionally, type @ before typing a name. This lets Facebook understand that you desire to tag someone in your post or remark.

  • Tap the name of the user you wish to tag when it appears.

  • Tap Post in the upper-right. Your post or comment will be published, and the other user will receive an alert that you tagged them in a post.


On Desktop


1. Go to http://www.facebook.com in a Web browser.
