Facebook Relationship Status Change

Facebook Relationship Status Change - If you're on Facebook at all, you have actually seen it occur: 2 pals end their marriage or long-lasting relationship, Facebook informs you that [BUDDY] and [BUDDY] are "no longer in a relationship.
" Or, on the flip side-- two secretive friends get engaged, change their respective statuses, and after that BOOM! Each and every single individual they know on Facebook wants a welcome to the wedding event.
Both of these scenarios (and numerous in between) beg the concern: simply how do you alter your relationship status on Facebook while keeping your news feed fans in the dark?
I get that this is a really twenty-first century only-for-people-who-are-online-a-lot issue, and maybe a ridiculous one at that. Why, when you're considering a change to your long-lasting relationship, would your mind roam to your Facebook relationship status? I can't inform you, I feel in one's bones that for lots of people it does, and the creepy-crawly, upside-down-stomach feeling that supports those ideas isn't really the best thing ever.
In 2016 my friend ended a relationship, and I observed that she successfully kept the ending of this relationship from becoming Facebook's news-- a few "friends" didn't even recognize her previous relationship had actually been over for nearly a year when she started dating her now-boyfriend.
So she's obviously a little bit of a digital genius, and I just recently had her sit down and reveal me the best ways to make this take place:
ow your relationship status will be visible ONLY to you-- not even your (possibly) partner can see it. It just disappears! It's a pretty easy repair (assuming Facebook does not alter the way you do it in a week), and pain-free at that. Win-win.

- Go to your profile.
- Click "Edit Profile".
- Select "Pals and Household" from the menu left wing.
- Click the arrow next to "Relationship Status".
- Change this to "Only me".
