Giphy, a brand-new startup from tech studio Betaworks, simply made it dead simple to embed GIFs directly onto your Facebook Timeline, How To Upload A Gif To Facebook.
If you desire to share a GIF on Facebook, very first head on over to Giphy.
Giphy allows you to browse through all the GIFs that developers have submitted to the site. Once you find a GIF you wish to share, click the Facebook icon below the animation.
A basic Facebook share box will appear. From there, you can choose if you wish to share it on your Timeline, a good friend's timeline, in a group, or in a private message.
I decided to share it on my Timeline. Click the play icon to see the GIF.
For years Facebook has shied away from enabling animated GIFs in news feeds stating it would be "too disorderly". Just recently though, this decision was reversed and you can lastly begin publishing animated GIFs to your feeds.
Usually when uploading images to Facebook, you would click "Photo/video", and then pick among the many options for publishing pictures (such as the first alternative, "Upload Photos/Video"):.
This works terrific for routine photos and images, however if you aim to submit an animated GIF by doing this, you will find that Facebook takes the "animated" out of animated GIF.
Instead, you need to click the "Status tab", and paste the URL of the animated GIF into the status message. This is the exact same system utilized for developing a link post.
Optionally, you can then delete the URL from the status box if you do not want it to be published with your GIF.
It's a lot easier in Postradamus.
Just submit the GIF to your post!
