Facebook Group Names - Facebook is actually becoming more flexible as time passes, rather remarkably. I believe the only thing you absolutely cannot change, the only thing that's simply locked into place when you pick it, is a shortened URL shortcut.
Thankfully the group name isn't really because little category of irreversible names, and it's not totally obvious ways to alter it, however it can be done.

To begin, go to your group page on Facebook however don't click on "Edit Settings" because it ain't what you desire. Rather look down the best side of the page. About a third of the method down you'll see these options:.
Click "Edit Group" and you'll see a lots of different alternatives that you can customize, most notably the group name:.
Let's focus a bit on that so you can see exactly what it appears like:.
To alter your Facebook group name, just click in the text box that has the existing name and usage DELETE, arrows and similar to alter the name to one that's better suited. For this presentation, I changed the group name from "Front Range Blogger Meetup: The Facebook Group" to just "Front Variety Blog Writer Meetup".
When you have actually set it appropriately, click "Conserve" at the bottom of the window and.
Done. Not too difficult once you know where to click.
Confusingly, however, the page that includes the notice of the modification being accepted still has the old name showed:.
No concerns. That's simply a caching problem: click "Back to Group" and we see the appropriate name:.
Now we're done and it's confirmed.
I must discuss that everybody in the group will see an upgrade alert that the name has been changed, however I cannot picture that's an issue:.
