Giphy, a brand-new startup from tech studio Betaworks, just made it dead simple to embed GIFs directly onto your Facebook Timeline, Upload Gif to Facebook.
If you wish to share a GIF on Facebook, very first head on over to Giphy.
Giphy enables you to explore all the GIFs that creators have published to the site. Once you discover a GIF you wish to share, click the Facebook icon below the animation.
A basic Facebook share box will pop up. From there, you can choose if you desire to share it on your Timeline, a good friend's timeline, in a group, or in a private message.
I chose to share it on my Timeline. Click the play icon to see the GIF.
For years Facebook has shied away from allowing animated GIFs in news feeds saying it would be "too chaotic". Recently however, this decision was reversed and you can finally begin posting animated GIFs to your feeds.
Normally when submitting images to Facebook, you would click on "Photo/video", and then select among the lots of alternatives for submitting images (such as the first alternative, "Upload Photos/Video"):.
This works great for regular pictures and images, but if you aim to upload an animated GIF by doing this, you will discover that Facebook takes the "animated" out of animated GIF.
Instead, you should click the "Status tab", and paste the URL of the animated GIF into the status message. This is the same system utilized for developing a link post.
Optionally, you can then delete the URL from the status box if you don't desire it to be published with your GIF.
It's much simpler in Postradamus.
Simply submit the GIF to your post!
