Connect Instagram and Facebook

With brands welcoming digital platforms other than Facebook, issues occur. Connect Instagram And Facebook, Where do you publish which material? Should you planning to sell to both places? How will your fans remain in touch with the updates on both platforms? Should you promote one platform on the other or does that get too confusing? Will people feel overwhelmed if I ask them to follow my brand name on more than one platform?

They're all viable concerns, ones that have different responses depending upon who you are and exactly what your brand name stands for.

Connect Instagram And Facebook

That brings us to an important discussion today, one that I've become part of plenty of times in the last couple of months. Should a brand link their Instagram account to their Facebook page? And how?

In the beginning, everyone considers the best ways to publish content from Instagram to Facebook. After all, pictures get enagagement on Facebook too - so why not? If you're producing visual material for one platform, why not also publish it on another platform? Expecting the exact same result by publishing the same content on various platforms is a mistake that many digital marketing rookies make, nothing to be embarrassed of.

On Instagram, sharing your posts with your Facebook Page instead of your personal profile is a matter of changing your settings. By default, Instagram shares images with your personal profile when you connect Facebook to your Instagram account.

Your primary step is to go to Instagram account on your phone and pick the profile icon in the lower best corner. Then choose the 3 dots in the upper right corner to get to the Settings area.

Then from there, scroll down to the Linked Accounts area.

Then you will see your social accounts that you have linked. Select Facebook.

As soon as you have at first connected Facebook to Instagram, you'll have the ability to choose either your individual profile or any Page that you are an Admin of as the location you desire your Instagram pictures to go when you select Facebook.

Now whenever you take a photo and choose Facebook, it will go to your Page instead.

The one issue with this approach is that if you only desire SOME images to go to your Page and some to go to your individual profile, you have to toggle backward and forward every time.

Posting Only Select Photos to your Facebook Page.

Another technique is to set up an IFTTT recipe that will just share an Instagram image to your Page when you do something special like have a specific hashtag in the post.

The benefit of this is that the post heads out on your Timeline so it is seen by more individuals, and you can then choose which exact photos you want to send out to your Page from Instagram.

Of course, you can also simply look at posting the picture to your Page individually, but a little automation sometimes is not a bad thing.

I have a dish set up where if I use the hashtag #FBalbum in my Instagram post, then it goes to my Facebook Page.

Adding an Instagram Tab to your Facebook Page.
Another thing you can do is to add an Instagram Tab to your Facebook Page.

This basically brings your Instagram feed into your tab but the images do not head out on your Timeline. So while it's a terrific way to enhance your Page, it's not going to be rather as noticeable as the other two techniques of linking your accounts revealed previously.
